Position Overview:

As the Operations Head – Stock Broking, you will lead and manage the core operations that form the backbone of our stock broking business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring seamless trade settlements, robust compliance, effective risk management, and end-to-end process optimization. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational efficiency, and cross-functional leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of stock broking operations including compliance, trade settlements, risk monitoring, KYC/AML, depository operations, and audits.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to SEBI, NSE, BSE, and CDSL regulations, and oversee timely and accurate regulatory reporting.
Audit & Inspections: Coordinate internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and ensure closure of compliance issues.
Process Optimization: Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in operations.
Risk Monitoring: Supervise risk controls on the trading desk, and proactively identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
Customer Experience: Ensure timely resolution of investor grievances and regulatory escalations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Tech, Compliance, and Risk teams for platform integrations, process automation, and strategic initiatives.
Change Management: Lead initiatives related to software/platform migration, vendor on boarding, and operational automation.
 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field.
Certifications: NISM Series III-A (Compliance), Series VI (DP Operations), and Series VIII (Derivatives) required.
Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in stock broking operations, with demonstrated success in leadership roles.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of capital markets and regulatory frameworks
o Hands-on experience in trading, back-office platforms, and DP operations
o Deep knowledge of AML/KYC norms, risk frameworks, and audit protocols
o Excellent team management and communication skills
